Sienna Naturals


For this campaign, we were tasked to revive the brand of Sienna Naturals and develop a positioning strategy, alongside, a brand campaign that sets them apart from other curly haircare brands.

Our concept was based on showcasing the struggles of textured hair and how wash day isn’t all that pretty and poetic. We wanted to stand out against the Cecreds and Pantene’s of the world. Our approach was also inspired by Issa, who is the co-founder of Sienna Naturals and our muse.

My role was to develop a concept and overall visual look and feel for the campaign.  A part of this process was to ensure the Sienna Naturals’ colors and branding shined through from the location to wardrobe.






Casting was a huge process as our ask grew from just Issa to a diverse set of models for the still imagery. My job was to develop a casting brief and attend casting calls to pick our final 5 models.






I was also tasked with designing our ‘Bad Bottles’ to show the evolution of a curly girl using not-so-great products to ✨Sienna Naturals ✨.







Finally, we had to capture still imagery for product promotion. My job was to go through over 100 images that was captured on set and pick the winners to show to client.
